Assistance available for working moms

 

 

Having a mom is one thing every single human has in common. Having a working mom however, is more than ever becoming common.

According to Moms In Business Network (MIBN), women constitute nearly one-half of the workforce and women are starting business two times faster than men. Additionally, the group finds that 72 percent of mothers work with nearly 60 percent returning to work before the baby reaches age one.

With these high percentages, a need for support of mothers entering and in the workforce became evident. Stepping up to the task, Gina Robison founded MIBN in February of last year to support continually efforts of working moms.

"As the mother of two amazing young women, I find myself every day compelled to reach out to the community in order to help women achieve their dreams," says Robison. "I am absolutely fascinated by the resiliency and courage of all women, especially women with children."

The group hosts well over 1,500 charter members all across the United States with Las Vegas at 500.

MIBN offers free national and local advertising to its members and contends it is the only association in the United States that provides working mothers health assurance, business grants and tax assistance.

MIBN projects that by 2010, women will account for one-half of the country's wealth and by joining this networking group, mothers and women can utilize support to grow.

Meeting every 3rd Thursday of the month at various locations, annual membership fees are $25. The group does not limit membership to just mothers. MIBN does maintain open to working fathers and grandmothers as well.
